What is this tutorial for?
There are some special requirements for industrial warehouse including large open area, adequate free height and quick construction. This type of structure is usually made with steel member either hot rolled or build up section. Portal frame is used to design this structure. In my video tutorial I have shown a complete Steel Warehouse structural analysis and design using Staad pro software. In this project I have used build up section to design but you can also use hot rolled section, I have shown how inside the video how to use hot rolled section?

Staad pro is great structure analysis and design software across the world. Most Engineers use this for steel structure analysis and design. You can do any type of steel structure design including multistorey and complex structure, sloped roof etc. So many codes are available and they are easy to use. By watching my tutorial you will be able to use this software. Personally I use this software for steel structure design, but can be used for concrete structure design too. Any type of concrete structure can be designed using this software.

What is the code used for this project?
Design code is important for any type of structure design. As per your design code the loading is varied. Here for this project UBC design code has been used which is similar to my local code. Any tutorial is a procedure, following the procedure you can apply any code per your requirement. For this type of project wind load is important and need to calculate manually. I use MS Excel program to calculate wind load. You have to learn your own about how to calculate wind load as per your code requirement. I have also attached the excel wind load calculation file in the video description. You can collect from there and study that.

Usually any Civil Engineer across the world can learn this. But especially who wants to be structural engineer must need to learn. Structural Engineer can learn any other software for structural design, but if he has any interest on Staad pro then watch the video. Staad pro is one of the mostly used structural design software for Civil Engineer. A Civil Engineer who want to be a structural Engineer need to learn at least any one structural design software like Staad pro.
